Deconstruction for Environmental, Social, and Financial Benefit

Progress has been made toward reducing the carbon footprint of the building sector through efficiencies in building operations. However, greater effort is needed to address embodied carbon, which includes upstream environmental impacts from producing building materials and construction.

This session will focus on both the social justice and environmental benefits of deconstruction as well as give an overview of related deconstruction policies. Learn how to incorporate salvage and reuse to maximize Built Green materials efficiency credits while having a positive impact!
