ABOUT

Built Green’s mission is to promote environmentally friendly home building methods and practices and to enhance our communities through leadership in sustainable development. As a green home certification program, Built Green works with builders, policymakers, and the general public to educate on, promote, and support green building. Built Green, launched in 1999, is a program of the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties. Since then, over 28,000 homes have been Built Green certified. For more information on the program, please see the main program website.

about the CONFERENCE

The Built Green Conference has been occurring annually for a decade with the aim of providing valuable and cutting-edge information on green building and sustainability. Notable past keynote speakers include Robert F. Kennedy Jr., David Orr, and Denis Hayes. The conference this year will cover a variety of topics related to green building, ranging from building science to policy, from finance to post-occupancy research, and from case studies to equity and community issues. This content will be covered throughout the day, which will include a keynote address, a variety of sessions to choose from, lunch, and a book signing, all followed by an awards ceremony and reception. We’re looking forward to seeing you on this educational and fun day!
